The business problem
Following a fast-moving story across dozens of outlets is a full-time job, and the outlets disagree. Doing it by hand means either missing things or trusting one source.
What the build does about it
A scheduled job collects and scores agreement across sources every day. A person still decides what gets published — the machine does the reading, not the judging.
The decision
The label is the point
An archive of a contested event is worth nothing if the reader cannot tell what is established from what is asserted. Every item carries its evidentiary status — court record, disputed, or unsupported — which is a harder editorial commitment than publishing everything and letting the reader sort it out, and it is the only thing that makes the archive usable by someone who disagrees with you.
