The business problem
Specialty coffee is described in language most buyers do not speak. People pay more and still get a bag they do not enjoy, then stop trying.
What the build does about it
A palate profile does the translating, and the results point at South African roasters rather than imports.
The decision
Profile the palate before showing the catalogue
A coffee shop with a hundred bags is useless to someone who does not yet know what they like — the ordinary answer is to sort by roast or by price and let them guess. Mokha asks about taste first and lets the catalogue arrange itself around the answer, so the first thing a visitor meets is a shorter list they have a reason to trust.
What you can check yourself
- Built without a front-end framework — the interface is vanilla JavaScript, which keeps the payload small on the mobile connections most of its buyers are on.
- Wrapped with Capacitor so the same codebase ships as a native shell, not a second app.
- Typefaces are bundled with the app rather than fetched from a font CDN, so it renders correctly offline and inside that shell.
